Default Opinions requested...Decision on wheels.

I'm buying the Charcoal one...
The decision I'm faced with is this: keep the ARE wheels, or swap for the factory original ones on the silver c3 in the next picture. Dealer will swap for free, so $$ is not a factor. I kinda like the orginals...you guys/gals?

Go with the original ones....you can always get aftermarkets.

Looks like Cn-V pictures....is that where you are buying from? Nice place....seem to have very good condition cars.

I'll jump on the originals bandwagon. I think they look great on the fastbacks.

Originals! TT2's are a dime a dozen! (Not that that is a really bad thing...)

stay with the Torq Thrust II's.. You can pick up a set of original equipment wheels on Ebay for very little $.
The Torq Thrust II's are worth a lot more..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SET-O...ayphotohosting

A set of TT2's is about $900... You could always sell the TT2's for at least $500 and then buy a set of originals for $200 and you'll have $300 in your pocket...

Not a smart choice to go with the cheaper wheels if there's no difference in cost for you!

I had the original N90 aluminum wheels stripped-and-dipped 4 years ago by:

East Coast Plating
Capitol Heights, Md. (outside D.C. )
301/350-0393
"Vince"

They cost just $135/each, wash-up with water, and have no pitting accumulated since they were done:
I shipped 'em out on a Tuesday, and they were back-on the car the following Wednesday.....

A friend has the stock N90 wheels on his 17,000-original mile '80 Corvette, and they are in immaculate-condition:
none-the-less, I believe he'll be having his done, as he REALLY likes the way my wheels turned-out.....

Yes I certainly do like the look of stock N90 wheels on a C3. Those 17"/18" wheels with low profile tires look "RICER" . I'm Glen's friend( not many will admit to that) and his plated wheels are the way to go. Although I emailed and tried to phone that plating company Glen, and their phone has been disconected. They may be out of business
You are right I'm going to do mine this winter,if I store it in MY garage
