I like the idea of not allowing new members to start a new thread until they use the search function 1000 times. That would teach new members how to use the search first then post.

Excuse me for saying this but, ARE YOU CRAZY?. Are you the forum police? Whats wrong with someone trying to have a dialog on this thread even if its been posted a thousand times before? Ease up, grow up, get laid, do something. This is supposed to be fun, if you dont like it, dont open it. See thats pretty easy ...........LT

So according to your logic they should eliminate the search feature and archive nothing? I am on this forum every weekday and occasionally on weekends when I need info on my project. A few less "should I gut my convertor cause I'm 15" threads to sift through could not hurt a thing. I was just complaining to a fellow member the other day about how repetitive the forum was getting. When all the people with real knowledge (not including myself here) leave, find another forum they like and don't come back what are you going to have then?

Just for informational purposes, I am 38, as easy going as they come, get laid when when I want (wife) and have plenty to do, therefore I am with Liquiddragon on this one!

Larry, You hit the nail on the head The lifeblood of this forum is the new members. The experienced teach the inexperienced so they can become the next teachers. I have owned corvettes since 1968 and I doubt there is anything I haven't tackled one time or another on the vettes over the years, but I still learn here on the forum. The day this forum turns into a bunch of pompous azzhats that don't feel the need to help is the day I loose interest. Now, I am off to our new St. Louis C3 Sharks Club Tech day to help anyone who needs it.

Another one of the forums I hang out at run their forum like *****. If you don't search before you post, they yell at you, then lock your thread, whether or not your question was answered. The feeling in this forum is much more open, and I often try to answer questions for people who aren't sure or new, largely because I was the same way once, and you all did the same for me. I figure by helping people out, they will feel more inclined to hang around and help others out. Pay it forward.

hey how about before you go bashing me for posting a video that i thought was funny and accusing me of something that i never said you stop for a minute and read what i wrote. my statement never said anything about how i hate how you see a thousand of the same threads pop up every month. i posted this for the ones that do complain can have something entertaining to see. i thought it was a funny video the first time i saw it almost three years ago and i just happened to run across it again yesterday and thought i would post it before i lost it again. oh yah and by the way im married so i can get laid when ever i want and i have a corvette that i work on all the time and go riding my new motorcycle whenever weather permits so how about you lay off and stop trying to bash me for posting something that i found a little funny.
