Default Late model canvas t-top?

OK i purchased this canvas t-top a couple years ago from someone who never used them. So i go and see if they will fit either my 71 or 72 and I think they are made for a later model. Maybe 78-82?

Can someone tell me if this is a late model t-top connection that has a post for a rear connection?

Can anyone take a picture of a 79-82 rear latch on their t-top. I need to see the fitting. you can just e-mail jimluer@yahoo.com me the picture instead of posting them.

Thanks

my 78 has pins like that that pop in to the body i figured all the t-tops were made that way.

I think they changed in 78 to a different style. does your rear section of the t-top have a pin like that on my canvas top?

I also had a 77 and it had the triangle blocks also... I just chaecked the Ecklers website and the Fox Rain Coat top is for a 78-82. so it does use this pin setup. Well I guess I can't use this top.

no, but i heard that the only difference btw the tow is the lock/pin setup... the rest is the same........... might just be a matter of a block with a cotter pin or a spring pin to make it work

My canvas T Tops came with both sets of pins, the early triangle ones and the later straight pins. I did have to call the seller and ask about the early pins. He apologized and said he had the early pins, but could never figure out what they were. He promptly sent them.

Call the seller, maybe he has them laying around.
