corvette belt buckles
i have an idea that i have been working on and figured i would see if there would be an interest here. i'm making custom belt buckles with switchable plates and was thinking about making a set for corvette people...... (trying to raise money for grad school).... here are some pics of the prototypes that i have done.....
the plates are back painted/laserscored acrylic.... the bolts have been changed to stainless steel hex head 6/32........ let me know what you think......
i have a few other markets that i'm working on and a website being made too..... but if interested, i can make a corvette set with the different years...... i would need clean lined images though...might be a bit hard to convert photos (depending on color/etc).... i would like to keep it to 1 or 2 cars per year since the setup time/coverting omages to laser takes me a while to make it look good.....

i can try a vette pic next time i run the laser
i also make acrylic business card holders too.....
if i have illegally posted these then let me know...... i'll become a supporting vendor somehow.......

i was trying to get 40 bucks for a combo set belt/buckle/plate
the crossflag logo would prolly be better/easier for me to do also.....
i have to drill tap the buckles, go through 4 programs to setup the images for the laser/mask/paint/put together.... so there is some time that i put into each buckle to make it happen.......
i know there was a link to all the logos for the vettes....
i could try to run a few of them on my next run and post......

i was also trying to get a patent for it but it's tooo much to do..... not sure if there is another method of documenting this idea just to cover myself

in the images above, u see the acrylic painted squares, those are the plates..... the buckle is the chrome square that the plates attach to... the belt is leather and i can get black or white..... colors too but i have to order in quantity so i stuck to 2 colors since they'll sell better.....
the plates are attached to the buckle by 2 bolts on the upper corners.... so, if you want to switch the plates to match the event/color that you are wearing then u can......
i can also do a ncrs one also... just need the logos to work with....
i have a paypal account and images can be mailed to bdb@237am.com
duplicate plates are $10
additional plates are $25
i will also offer discounts to vette clubs and other functions/groups
other areas i'm marketing in are
frats/sor.
colleges/high schools
anyone that wants a combo.... i'm open to anything really
the website is being made for easy ordering but i can take orders now..... might be about 1-2 weeks turn around time since i'm kicking the ball to get it rollin right now......

the middle pic that the detroit buckle/plate is on has a belt.... it's a snap belt....(regular belt that doesn't have the slit for a regular belt/buckle)....

Cool. I think I'd actually want the background of the plate to be black and have the script be white...and maybe a white outline around the flags if necessary.
If you want I can doctor the flags image to get it the way I want and re-post it

just email it to me bdb@237am.com see if you can get the reso to be around 150 on a 6"x6" canvas ....... makes better lines that way
