lesson learned.
during the 81 rebuild ive replaced most everything. Fan clutch, water pump, hoses, thermostat, belts...etc etc....everything except the radiator. got it all running and put the hood on last weekend. What happens 2 mins later the radiator srpings a leak. So this morning i got to replace the radiator with a new unit...AFTER it was all back together. Kinda glad now i did because i found the top hose snout was loose and was about to leak.

it sucks having to pull and reinstall the radiators in these later C3's doesn't it!?
I've been chasing a few leaks myself on my '78 project car and over the last 10 days had to R&R the radiator 3 times after everything was already all reassembled.
The way I feel about the design of the radiator install in these cars right now, I think I'll junk the car before I have to go thru all that again!
