Default Does this VIN make sense?

Got a '69 coupe that I am going to check out tomorrow, but I've got a question about the VIN: 0194379S725407.

I don't have any of my references here, but a website tells me that the serial numbers ranged from 100001 to 138762, which doesn't exactly encompass 725407. What am I missing?

8th digit should be a 7, as yours is. All is good.

I tend to go to http://www.100megsfree4.com/corvette/ for quick information, but I've noticed multiple errors as I look closely into '69 stuff. Maybe it's time to stay away!

Thanks for the info.

nihil - there is no leading zero, ie, the first digit is not zero

694speed - check closely, you left out a digit.... "9"

Serial Numbers: 194379S700001 through 194379S738762

For Convertibles, the fourth digit is a "6"

I probably just should have posted this:

Now I just have to make sure the seller doesn't strike a deal with someone between now and when his bank receives the title. The perfect vette for me after obsessive searching and a week or two of time for it to be sold out from under me.
