What a candy**** in thread 2. My Vette is for "ME". To hell with the women. My wife of 10 years is the best lookin' one to me anyway, and I already have her.

I thought this one was the clincher....:
My wife laughs at guys in C6 Vettes
But that's most likely cause she drives a C6 Z06 - she says all other C6's are girly man vettes..
I hate to say this, but I asked a few people, including my wife and ex-wife... They agree that newer Corvettes usually make them think of fat old men in a mid-life crisis. Older ones seem cooler.
I personally think a corvette resembles the sleek curves and contour's of a fine women's hour glass figure, just stand in front of that sexy thing and tell me there's no similarity's truly a man's car and probably alot of lesbian's car too! on the other thread, has anyone seen my metric pipe wrench anywhere.
I had my 280+lb friend ride in my vette once. He hit his head getting in and out and we were constantly doing the circus tune because it was like getting in and out of a clown car for him. C3s aren't made for big people, obviously.

I weigh about 250-260 right now and I fit fine in my 77. The roof is a bit close to my head, but most cars (outside of my Cherokee) are that way.
I always say its a matter of dedication. I'm 6'6" 225 and fit in my '69, '70, '85, '63 and '00. Might not be super comfy in some but it still works.
Wow, I thought I had it bad (280 lbs., 6' 4")! No, the Vette is not a super-cushy ride for big people, but if I wanted cushy, I'd have bought a Cadillac (well, an older one maybe). On that note, therein lies one of the perks of a LATE 70s C3; the 2"-shorter steering column actually makes it noticably easier to get in and out.
