And it's not pretty either. Just bought this BRA (nose protector) and can't seem to get past the 2nd step of the instructions below. The hood surround has a lip that faces down, but the reinforcement steel is so close that there is no room for these "U" shaped trim lock clips that are described. Are the clips intended to grab only one side of the vinyl or does the vinyl make a loop inside the clip like using clothes pins on a laundry line? The flap described runs the entire length of the hood surround. Are only 2 clips supposed to be enough, that is if you could even get them attached?
It also looks like the instructions contradict themselves. (2) hooked-back U-shaped trim locks are used in steps 3,4,and 5, then 2 more are used in step 6. The kit only comes with 2 according to the material list.

Bra's are for one thing, and unless you have two Vette's, thats not it... my .02
I've never been real impressed by them either, but have a long trip coming up (CI-7) Tired of all the chips I get. Surely someone has been successful in getting one of these things to fit on a C3.
My nose cone is old and cracked, actually has a hole in it so I bought a bra. Thing fit like **** so I modified it a bit , see sig
I've seen those partials (demi-cups?) Maybe I should have gone that way. I have had rock chips on the headlight doors and high up on the front fenders though.

What brand? I put a "Le Bra" brand on my daughter's 3000 GT and it was an excellent fit. Cost a little more but .....
I had no problem with my bra. It is a wolf. Got it because my front bumper is falling apart. Just a cheap fix for a while.
Mine looks identical to yours except I have a crossed flags logo. Even the same airfoils, but I'm not sure what they actually do if anything. How does yours attach to the hood surround, along the front edge of the hood?

It does not attach to the front of the hood. It attaches to my wheel wells and under the front bumper.
Well that is the problem you are reading the instructions!! LOL I got a bra for my '77 just to use on long trips to protect the paint and like the other guy said it don't fit very gooe at all. The biggest problem is the pop up lights and the way you have to attach it to them. I kind of like the modified one like Chris LeFevre did where it just covers the nose because that is where you will get the most chips.
As frustrating as this thing is, I'm beginning to think there might be hope. I have decided to add a continuous velcro soft strip to the hood surround flap, and that will attach to a continuous velcro hook strip glued underneath the hood surround. That should hold the trailing edge of the bra very secure and allow me to get a nice tight fit everywhere else. I swear this manufacturer has never tried to install this product on a C3. As I mentioned already, this came from Corvette Central and they have always sold very excellent products to me in the past. I am planning on letting them know about the problems I have had with this one, think they need to change vendors or demand something better.
