Default 75 bumper

New member looking to start fixing up a 75.
I have a 75 that is in desperate need of a new front bumper.
Any thoughts? (Fiberglass, True flex, Urethane)
Any particular dealers recomended?

A reproduction urethane bumper will be the easiest installation and provide some resistance to damage just like the original. A flex fiberglass bumper is the smae as a regular fiberglass bumper, they just use less hardener in the resin. A fiberglass bumper will be more difficult to install because it will require fitting and adding filler to make it conform to the shape of the body. No two bodies are the same especially after accident repairs. The front bumper cushion and reinforcement will need some material removed before the fiberglass bumper will fit over them. Some people eliminate the reinforcements, but I don't recommend doing that, leave them in place, they will decrease body damage in a minor collision. The fiberglass bumper will have crisper lines and less waves on the top surface, much better appearance than the urethane. However the fiberglass bumper will crack if bumped into. Each type of bumper has it's own paint process. I prefer the fiberglass bumpers myself.

I installed urethane bumper on the front of my 75 vert and a true flex on the rear. The front was a piece of cake but the true flex was a pain in the azz for me.If anyone made a urethane for the rear for a 75 I would change out the true flex.

I mounted a Truflex in the front of my 75 nose with little to no trouble.
Buy direct (search for toledo pro) and email for pricing. Shipping is cheap.
