a WEEK and it's killing you??!!

last year I had my '65 in for new paint and it was in the paint shop for 10 MONTHS. Now THAT is a killer!
I could wait a week out with no problem.

I do understyand your inpatience though, it's hard to wait when you know your baby will be coming back home looking all pretty and shiney with new paint.
But still............ only a week??!!

When they did the conversion it was there for 6 months. Seeing how it only took me 2 mins with the sawzall to cut the top off that didnt seem too bad

Im already planning the first trip with the car. I cant believe that its come this far. Seemed like at one time ide never get it to the point of paint. Best part...The guy at the bodyshop GAVE me an almost new hardtop that he had aquired years ago. He traded some work for the top years ago and then got rid of his. Said he didnt need it anymore and it was mine if i wanted it. Hes even painting it for me. The conversion was done using this top to align everything, so it should fit perfect!

My body has been in a shop for 14 months

In the last 3 months he has done nothing. I would kill for a 1 week wait.

I'm so pissed that I am pulling it out Thursday and finish the job myself. Post pics when you get it back. We all want to see em.

I just got mine back a week ago today from 2 months at the painter, which was directly after 2 months of me prepping it, so I hadn't really driven it since the end of December. I went for a looooooong ride last Saturday, just to listen to the Flowmasters and headers sing, and DAMN does it look good to with the new paint!
