3970010 block was used for 190hp and 250 hp
Get the suffix code of the engine pad on the passenger side and I can tell you which one it is.
It will be a three letters like CKZ, CLH.

K10 17 TAX. This is what I got from the front of the block(pass side in front of head).
Oh, this is not the original engine.

The "010" block is a 350 ci block. NO clue what the numbers on your pad mean, other than to say that
K would be the assembly plant
10 17 would be October 17
TAX would be the "usage" code. Chuck

Does the "T" stand for truck? I am pretty sure it is TAX

In the "Corvette world", in late 69, they switched to a 3 letter code. Prior to that, they used a 2 letter code.
I don't believe T stands for truck. Chuck

1972 TAX 350 m/t - 175 4 C-10

I'm fairly certain if the suffix starts with T, the motor is/was from
a truck....if it starts with C its from a car.
