Default front brake line question

Didn't find an answer in the search....

I wanted to see if anyone here has replaced the hard line for the left front caliper, from the distribution block to the flex line.

It appears to run under the upper control arms and I was wondering if it can be persuaded in without taking the front end apart.

what year is your car? what side pass or drivers side? I have pics of both in my photos. If your car is a 77 you should be able to change both without removing any front suspension parts.

Yes, it can be done and is not hard. Might have to bend it up "a little" to sneak it under the upper c-arm like johnt365 said. Give it a try!!!

I replaced ALL the lines in my 69 with Stainless Steel lines with the body on and without taking anything apart.

I just replaced that line last weekend - it's possible!!!

Just take your time as your work the new line into place - it'll bend a little, but you can just bend it back.

... and put some tape over the ends as you get it into place ....
unless your chassis and engine compartment are spotless.
Masking tape is fine ... just keep the greasy dirt from getting jammed
inside and on the nut threads. If it is not stainless, give the line a
shot of clearcoat before installing.

Good Luck

I'm impressed! Tell me about the fuel line replacement with the body on. I have some S/S Braided waiting to go in place of my leaky steel line!

I think the key to success is to get the car up on jackstands as high as possible. Fish the line from inside the rear wheel well. Braded lines should be a snap. I used SS and it took patience....something which I have little..
