On my 75 and 76, the top dash is held in place by one screw on the underside bracket (once you remove the front dashes that srew into the top dash). The windshield pillar trim pieces hold the ends of the dash down, so you will need to remove at least one of them. You will also have the bend the dash slightly up in the center to get it out.
