how do I do this?
I got power windows, so after removing the two screws, how
do I remove the door lock ****? do I need some tool? just pull straight out?
after that, I assume I pull out from the velco, and then lift up?

just want to be sure so I don't break anything.
thanks guys
You have to remove all the screws on the front and the two hex-headed screws on the sides. There's a little C-shaped clip that holds in the lock ****. You can get it out by poking at it with a pair of scissors or something - just try to kinda pull out the ****/tilt it so you can see what's going on. You also need to remove the door pull. After thet, yep, just pull off from the velco and slide it off the door handle (if you didn't remove it yet)/
I had a few minutes, so I just took the lock **** off with the scissors, works great.
I'll take out the panel later.
Looks like replacing the **** is going to be a bi*ch of a job, my fingers aren't that small.
This is the gizmo you need. When you put the **** back on, push the clip back onto the **** just until the clip is on the ****, but not into the groove. Install the kob on the shaft and then push the clip the rest of the way onto the **** with the tool or a narrow screw driver
so when I removed the ****, the clip fell off, missed seeing how it goes back in, so I cleaned and painted the ****, and am ready to put it back.
do both ends of the clip go through the opening in the back of the ****, and come out the other side, then push the **** in place as suggested above.
That's all there is to it.
Just be sure to match the flat inside the lock **** with the flat on the door opening mechinisum. Keeps the **** from just spinning!
