I posted a simiular thread in tech got some great answers but not the one I wanted would some one please just give an educated guess on my horse power?
my wife bought me these toys and almost finished installing them she got them for me that is why no heads and a sumit tech advised her!


Alright all you pro covettest's have an 81 vette stock motor 8.2.1 compresson, going to put:

edelbrock performer eps
holley street avenger 670 cfm carb
mallory 85 series hei distributor
no egr no computer
comp cam specs bellow
Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224
Duration at 050 inch Lift: 224 int./224 exh.
Advertised Intake Duration: 270
Advertised Exhaust Duration: 270
Advertised Duration: 270 int./270 exh.
hooker super comp side pipes with no mufflers(straight pipe)
can some one tell me an estimated hp at the flywheel?
I have a buddy with 1988 iroc z enginge stock only mods are cat back system, hp chip and kn air filter who wants to race do I have a Chance
Please help

You get a technical answer in the tech section. Here you get a WAG based on nothing.... Your stock hp is 190, so I will say 275.

Don't know. But I had an '87 Iroc Z L-98 and it was very quick for it's day. 0-60 in under 6 sec and very stable. The stock engine was a 305. If he has a 305 I think you'd have a chance.

if that Iroc is a 305, you might stand a chance..

well it is the 350 and its published bone stock time form Car and driver is 15.5 and an 81 vette stock was 15.4 so I am curious and his car has 126,000 miles of hard miles last two owners were 19 and 21 so you know had bad it has been dogged with that information what is you guess ? bellow i list where information came from!
