I look at Barrett-Jackson, the same as WWE wrestling - entertainment
They have a lot nice looking cars, watching the floor people work the bidders is an art and as said before - a lot of money is spent to satisfy one's interest.
There is something else to consider here. It's not just cars on B-J's auction that are skyrocketing, it's DAMN NEAR EVERYTHING. I bought a crackerbox house in San Diego in 1992 and sold it in 2003 for literally three times what I paid for it. Oil that cost $10 American per barrel 10 years ago is $75 now. Our Federal Reserve has turbocharged its printing presses in a (futile) effort to keep currency in American consumers' hands but the problem is that as soon as they get their hands on it they run down to Wal-Mart or the Toyota dealer and the money flies out of the country (anybody seen the trade deficit with China lately?).I don't know how any of y'all feel about this but few things gall me as much as a Hyundai driven by one of these Plastic Patriots proudly displaying an American flag in the rear window with some dorky slogan like 'Power of Pride' underneath it. And if you haven't yet gotten into the real estate market you're probably screwed because American DIRT is now worth a lot more than American MONEY. It's not that these old musclecars have suddenly leapt in value exponentially, it's that American money is only worth a fraction of what it was 10 years ago.

Wait another ten years and todays basic "clunker" prices will look dirt cheap and the current $250M average house will be selling for $500m.
Buy now or cry a bigger river tomorrow!
