Phil, was so lucky that they did'nt show all of the interview we shot with Dimebag's girlfriend. That guy's big mouth did in Darrell. That freak that shot him, was powered by Phill going off about how Dimebag and Vinnie were breaking apart Pantera (the overpowering brothers type of crap). When he call the day of the funeral she said he sounded totally high as hell. That dude is pitifull
I knew people that hung with Derrell, and everyone who had anything to say, said that he was on of the most coolest, and genuine nice guy and who would be happy to go get you a beer at his own party even if he never had met you, kind of guy
First concert was April Wine and Journey in 1980 at the River Bend in Cinci.
Best concert was Ozzy and Motley Crue in 1982. The Crue was the opener and rocked then Ozzy came on stage, did two songs, and passed out. Then Motley Crue came back on and rocked out.
i love this thread
my first concert was metallica and ozzy at the cap center here in d.c.
i love the ozz but metallica blew him away. saw ozzy again with a brand new guitarist named zach. im the only person that can remember he got a hand cramp and ozzy was cussing him out on stage. ozz says, " you got writers cramp? then go right a f king book! ive always been a pantera fan and play alot of their tunes, but he changes the guitars tuning so many times it frustrating to play alot of their tunes. the vh1 special was really touching. i was blown away that eddie van halen put the guitar from vh II IN the casket. i believe that dime was the greatest guitar player in the world at the time. only steve vai could be at that level. wasnt aware the the crosby guy had died. ratt was a good band musically, but we usually beat up anyone that listened to them
I wish had gotten to see pantera live.. I never even got to see a real metallica show (pre 1991), I have only seen the lame versions... Ac/Dc always puts on a fun show, but if you are into something a little heavier check out Shadows Fall and or Killswitch Engage. I have had the same MP3 CD with four shadows fall albums on it in my Trucks CD player for almost 2 Years
April Wine and Foghat? Not only do I remember them, I saw them and I still play tunes like Roller in my band in PA: www.shadowsforce.com We also have our share of originals, too!
