The bracket that holds up the radiator air deflector looks like it was damaged by previous owner. I am trying to get it back together correctly but need a pic of the front of the car at ground level and a pic of the underside where the bracket hooks the air deflector. Also, what is the clearance from the bottom of the rubber extension, at he center, to the ground. Mine is 1.75 inches, seems low. Thanks Jim
I think there should be a little strip of metal that points backward from the bottom of the tiedown under the nose. I believe this is a common problem area. Mines busted off too. I have wire ties holding it up for now since the valance panel is in bad shape. I will repair it when I paint the car. You can only see the bubba fix if you get down low to see it.

I'll take a picture of the front of my 81 tonight when I get home.
I coppied this picture as a reference when I repair mine. I think that I copied it from Bangkoc Dean (without permission of course). I also love the placement of the tranny cooler.
Dang. Won't let me post the pic. Can someone host for me? Please IM

Thanks, if you could get a pic of it from the side it would help. The tongue has been broken off and I need to see the angle at which it is mounted so I can weld a new one on. Also is the height of the rubber extension the same on the sides as it is in the middle, mine is 4" on the sides near the fenders and 1.75" at the middle.
