Default Pics from this morning

Boy, the weather has been and will continue to be crappy, so I just took a few pics.

First, the wife has allowed some chicks to move into our house.
She never asks me before doing stuff like this ... could hurt the relationship.
http://NHvette.com/ftp/in/chicks_05_12_06.jpg

Here is the vette as she sits. I did a bunch of sanding to the base coat
that was on the 75 nose ... about 1/2 way done with 80 grit. I might
just clear coat this and call it "urban camouflage".
http://NHvette.com/ftp/in/as_she_sits_05_12_06.jpg

Here is my new offset upper control arm shaft .. installed.
The red dust is from all the sanding .... argh !!!
I'll tell you : It's nice having a newly restore chassis. When
popping the ball joint, I didn't even have to tap it to remove ... slid out under the spring pressure.
It took me 26 minutes to disassemble the whole deal .. .from jacking
and removing the tire to removing the shaft from the control arm.
Again, poly bushings are nice ... easily taken apart.
The whole thing went back together in about 1/2 hour, too.
Now, the passenger side is very close in camber to the drivers, but I still
think I need a little more room ... going for a spreader bar.
http://NHvette.com/ftp/in/offset_upper_shaft.jpg

Back to the chicks .... the brownish ones are "Araucanas".
They are called "Easter egg chickens", since they lay eggs that are
colored from pastel blue to olive in color ... (green eggs and ham).
They are better described here : http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/prod...mericanas.html
We are hatching these from our own flock.

That's all for now ... with all the rain ... gotta go look for a wetsuit on Ebay

Dude, if you could get those chicks to pose on your hood that would be so hot!

Looks like the project is coming along well Dave. When are you hoping to finish by?

These Corvettes attract other critters, too. My cat has left many a paw print across my hood and rear deck, and I had an unfortunate accident under some power lines and a few pigeons while parked at a strip mall. The neighbor's dog hosed my right rear tire/wheel once. All in-between car washes, of course

Wife bought an "Easter chick" one time for my daughter seveal years ago. Since we live out in the country, the chick managed to grow up to become one big azz rooster with an attitude...seems that he wanted to excercise his manly disposition on anything that would hold still long enough including the family dog. My uncle saw the rooster "having his way" with our Australian Shepard and decided to get him some company by bringing over a couple of game hens. By the end of the summer we had literally two dozen mean azz chickens running loose. They'd fight themselves, anything and everything in sight. Long story short, we had the neighbors over one week end for a chicken BBQ, rooster included.

Your car is coming along quite well, do you have a estimate as to when you will have it painted.

Wow, you've come a long way Dave. I've always wondered what people who don't work for a living do all day.

You may finish soon.
