Pics from this morning
First, the wife has allowed some chicks to move into our house.
She never asks me before doing stuff like this ... could hurt the relationship.

Here is the vette as she sits. I did a bunch of sanding to the base coat
that was on the 75 nose ... about 1/2 way done with 80 grit. I might
just clear coat this and call it "urban camouflage".

Here is my new offset upper control arm shaft .. installed.
The red dust is from all the sanding .... argh !!!
I'll tell you : It's nice having a newly restore chassis. When
popping the ball joint, I didn't even have to tap it to remove ... slid out under the spring pressure.
It took me 26 minutes to disassemble the whole deal .. .from jacking
and removing the tire to removing the shaft from the control arm.
Again, poly bushings are nice ... easily taken apart.
The whole thing went back together in about 1/2 hour, too.
Now, the passenger side is very close in camber to the drivers, but I still
think I need a little more room ... going for a spreader bar.

Back to the chicks .... the brownish ones are "Araucanas".
They are called "Easter egg chickens", since they lay eggs that are
colored from pastel blue to olive in color ... (green eggs and ham).
They are better described here : http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/prod...mericanas.html
We are hatching these from our own flock.
That's all for now ... with all the rain ... gotta go look for a wetsuit on Ebay
