if you put it on tooo wet you'll have to sand all of those little parts for the other primer to actually stick

Self Etching Primer Compatibility?
Hello, I was just wondering it the Duplicolor self etching primer you can get at the auto parts store is compatible with epoxy primers.
I was going to clean with laquer thinner and prime the inside of the door openings and all of the metal parts that I blasted, but I dont want it to come off after we spray with the epoxy primer.

hey I just blasted the insides of my doors today, I have Dupont self etching primer in an aresol can. what happens if it is put on too wet?
my body shop friend just said to sort of mist coat it.

Yes that's okay to mist it on. You want it to dry quick if its wet it will eat in and could bubble or blister with whats underneath.

Same here, I'm putting it on bare metal on the doors, and all the metal pieces that have been blasted. So does that mean I won't have any problems when we put the epoxy primer on everything, as long as I keep nice thin coats.?
