Default Have to replace the water pump...

Well, my dad and I started pulling the engine today for a rebuild. In doing so, we noticed that the water pump is shot and needs to be replaced.

So I picked up the latest Summit catalog that I'd gotten, and started looking for a new water pump. I know I don't want something really "high performance", as they usually cause more cavitation, so I started looking for something that was like a stock pump.

However, I saw there's short and long water pumps for a 350 small block. Anyone know whether the Vette needs a short or long water pump? I'm THINKING it's a short pump, but I'm not sure.

Short, with a correct sized shaft. Regular ole GM WP will not work with your stock pulley's.

Short with 3/4" (not 5/8") shaft.
