I'm at the starting point of re-doing/fixing my exterior. I replaced most of my interior this past winter. I've had the 76 for about 10 years, 8 years ago I had it painted. I had to put a new rear bumper cover on it about a year ago because it got backed into while in my drive way. For some stupid reason, I put the cover on it that has a built in spooiler and recessed lights. . I never had the rear painted, good thing because now I hate it. So, I'm going back to the stock look. Thinking about exhaust side pipes.

Removed engine from 72... some very bad people worked on it before us so we will rebuild etc...clean engine compartment...slap it back together....polish & drivepics to come!
I am in the process of cleaning up some nasty (butchered) wiring and a little rust removal and painting in the engine bay, aswell as re-assembling my headlights. Waiting for my suspension package to arrive!
nothing quite yet, but im hopeing to get a hurst shifter, new gas tank (thats actually mandatory before it gets driven again), and possibly rebuilding the carb.
Just finished molding the front and rear bumpers and painting..... Have spent the last two weeks rebuilding the power steering components and front suspention, starting the electric fan and spreader bar install, and rear smart struts. Then the new interior yeah I know...... Bass ackwards but there is a method to my madness.......
Interior if I can make the time to work on it. With two other project cars time and money is limited. Yes it's true, my Corvette is 3rd on my vehicle project list.
I have plenty of things on my list Now that the temps over 100 degrees everyday for the next 4 or 5 months my garage time is more "limited". I welded in a new windshield frame a couple weeks ago. That was major surgery but with plenty of help here I got it done right.
Next up is to finish the chassis which includes running brake/fuel lines, finish rebuilding drive/half shafts and install new TRW fiberglass mono spring, finish bolting together trans and rear end mounts, install hookers, install steeroids kit, install rotors/calipers. I have most of the parts - just waiting on a couple things to show up and I'll get it all bolted on. I did finish installing the spindles and springs last weekend (after this pic was taken)
Firstly, I'm going to get rid of the vacuum headlight system and put in something that doesn't suck (pun intended!!). I found this site a while ago http://www.vetteweb.com/tech/0408vet_c3lites/ and now have (for quite some time) all the gear to do the mod. Chris McDonald who's mentioed in the article was very helpful and even went so far to get the parts I needed from GM Parts Direct because they wouldn't accept my credit card.
Anyway, once the lights are done and I know they work correctly (ie, when you want the lights, not half an hour after you pull the switch!), the interior is coming out. I have a new dash pad, door panels, armrests, console, facias, carpet, seat belts, dash/door/console harnesses and loads of other bits I've forgotten I even bought!
Once it looks nice and new, my wife will ride in it with me and allow me to pick her up from work in it!!

since i get frustrated quickly i am starting small lol....this week since forecast calls for rain all week. i think i will get rid of the pep boys antenna that came with the car and put on the stock antenna. I will swap out my water diverters in the door and try and adjust my choke so it doesn't idle at 1500 when i fire her up.
Took out the engine/transmission on a Camaro last night. Going to pull my 'vettes freshly rebuilt engine, hook it up to the 5-speed from the Camaro and drive the Camaro while my dad and I pull the body off of the 'Vette.
