or is the C3 the best looking vette ever? it doesnt matter if its a chrome bumper or a rubber bumper because the lines on the car just flow from the tip of the front bumper to the tip of the back bumper and even the interior is beautiful. i know my car isnt finished but i still love the way it looks even if it does need paint. i also love the new suspension that i got from VB&P and cant wait to get her back on the road so i can see how she rides.
before i installed the jet hot side pipes
the interior almost done
new suspension
custom stainless steel gas tank with internal electric pump
Here is Bryan's personal spill:
I love the chrome bumpers and could care less about the C4's - C5's. Now, the C6-Z06 is another matter entirely.
....and if I could just get everything finally finished....
Gotta go with Corz...my 74 has grown on me and i do think it is a nice looking car but..........gotta love the mid years..especially the coupes. Would love to get a coupe to go with my vert oh well maybe someday i'll hit the lotto.
The rubber bumper 74-77 can look just as nice as the earlier chrome bumpers C3's but they have to be in perfect condition.
The shiny chrome bumpers can distract from some imperfections.
I'm not too crazy about the later 'bubble' hatch models... not as sleek... but still nicer than c4's...
parked mine off by itself in old downtown yesterday while able to keep an eye on it... I was amazed by from a distance how much it looks like a stilletto. Pointy! Probably had 20-25 people actually circle the car with no one getting closer than 2-3 feet. Felt like she was getting her respect.
On a C3 forum I think you'll get pretty much nothing but positive comments on C3s, and like some of the other posts I find the C3's the nicest looking of all, with the C6 coming in a close second. I also prefer the '78-'82 hatch look over the flat window, but it's all subjective.
In the real world I get a lot more mixed opinions, some love it, others hate it.
