run stand control panel
about done with my run in stand. first engine I use it for will be my 489 blower motor. I am going to get a peice of steel plasma cut for the instruments. What I have come up with is this.
I will use a 4 inch tach/ rev limiter I have laying around. below that a push button start circuit. Four small gauges for temp, fuel pressure, oil pressure and boost. Below I will mount three switches. Fan, water and fuel pumps tothe right a power rocker. The whole deal is set on a pedestal welded to the back leg of one of those $40 engine holders. I welded a bracket on the front of the cradel and mounted a radiator. I will weld a plate and put a couple of insulated studs on the framework for a battery connection. Can you think of anything I might want to add to the control panel?

how about a big red kill button......kind of like the one you see in a wood shop.....also how about cylinder head temperature and oil temperature?
