I think that my thermostat is not letting any water into my cooling system, I bought the thermostat about a month ago and it worked fine, is there a way to check the thermostat without taking it out.

What you can do is put your hand (unless you have access to a thermal scanner) on the upper radiator hose. You really should be able to keep your hand on it for quite some time when the car is warming up. When the thermostat opens you should notice sizable difference in temp as the warm/hot water starts to pass thru it. (thats the point where OUCH comes to play).

Until that time you will only get some minor thermal transfer from the engine itself, but, until the water starts to circulate it should not get "HOT".........

Do this with the car bone-stock-cold.

If the thermostat works the upper hose will get HOT when the stat opens. If the hose does not get hot, the tstat is not opening.
