I am not arguing that trees are not being dessicated in acres per second. That is terrible, I know, along with the loss of habitat for millions of animal species. It's just that I dislike tree hugging type "people" who act holier-than-thou and perhaps do good, but then walk around and advertize it all day long.
Trees take in carbon dioxcide and release oxygen I agree - tree huggers need to get off their soap boxes. But I don't mind being reminded of the need for trees and saving the environment every now and then.
Stop the bickering you two. Plant marijuana in place of trees it releases oxygen too. Oh it can also be used for rope and is much more fun to clear cut and burn than trees! NOW IF THE TREE HUGGERS WOULD GET OUT OF THE WAY PLEASE, WE COULD JUST DRILL FOR OIL IN ALASKA THEN FUEL WOULD'NT BE AN EXCUSE TO DECREASE HORSEPOWER!
Thanks for the responses. So with all of that in mind, what is the quickest, easiest (and legal) way to get a C3 to 300+ h.p.?
Do what i did, drop in a 290hp GM 350 crate engine.
will cost you $2500 + labour and other minor pieces (Total $4100)
Then change the cat converter, put larger headers and a 2.25inch pipe in and performance muffler.
THEN my friend, 300hp comes callin !!!
PS: Keep your old engine block, polish it and clean it and put a 1/2 inch glass on it and use it in your living room as a 'designer' coffee table till someone buys it on eBay.

At a time when 90 hp toyota's, datsuns and honda's were becoming the norm, 185 hp was pretty impressive.

Nice. What do you mean by change the cat converter? Can you remove it completely or do you mean to put a replacement in?
Any suggestion as to a reputable place to buy the crate engine?
