Default Street flood

My son woke me a 3:30 AM this morning...pics speak for themselves...water main break just down the street..

There is a crack that runs down center of street in front of my house...I'm moving one of my vettes to a neighbors house so I will be able to drive it until street is repaired..it will be locked in his garage...
The truck was a rental a neighbor was using...

wow, thats crazy.
I was a little scared to view this thread judging by the title, but glad to see ur vettes are unscathed.
That pavement looks just a tad bit uneven, watch out for those potholes with ur vette.

It's getting ugly now that Padre dam is here...finally shut off water after 3 hours and numerous calls by neighbors...the turkeys...we tried calling at 4 AM..got the run around between two water companies each saying it was the others line...local TV and Fox news has broadcast this and reported the confusion...

If that was considered a small one, a big one would have wiped out the whole neighborhood. Look out for foundation problems next!!

oh man !
i wouln't want to drive on that street till it is all dried up... my car might be swallowed up ... jeez, the thought of it...

it is right though, to check your house and the lawn around it for foundation damage... because from the way the water shredded the road, it seems to have permeated the soil a few feet.
where is Dog Patch, California ??
I tried yahoo maps, can't find it.

Rich, did you have your Vette on a trailer? I could've sworn I saw it being driven around on the street near the sinkhole, when I saw 10News reporting about it today...

Maybe your neighbor was cruisin' around... j/k

No glue...just slip friction fit with gaskets....this was oviously an over pressure situation....but when they put it back together, the used slip flanges & bolts....
