paint is wet here, looks much better now that it is dry...need to touch up the center fins a little more, polish them up but these are WAY better than they were...they were very heavily scuffed

Paint still wet here...but looks good, this hub was very heavily pitted. I wetsanded it, but even after I primed etc, the ghost outlines of the pits still caused fisheyes at these spots, I stripped it again, this time after prime I used flat black as the base. I do not know why, but many times I have used flat black as a base when I repeatedly get fisheyes or reaction, something about the flat paint prevents this. I then finished in semi-gloss black.

I have painted a lot, my grandfather had body shop over 50 years and we are pretty into it...I did the column with spray bombs, after sanding and metal prep....point to this car is to NOT take it all apart, so doing what I can with the car together....more of a frame on clean up. I have noticed, often that any reactions I have with semi gloss or gloss spray bombs can be quelled with dusting some flat black on those spots, then reshooting with the semi or gloss on top of it.
Thanks A7X.....this really isnt a 100 point restoration, just a quickie
