Default First welding project

Since getting my Lincoln I have played with and welded several small items including exhaust. I'm brand new to welding so I'm learning
Here is my very first project. A mobile rack for the welder, plasma cutter and booster/charger. Just thought I would share.

Be careful it's almost as addictive as the vette.

Ask me how I know. 4 welders, 2 plasma cutters (1 CNC), torches, Bead roller, Pipe bender, 36" brake, 12 ton Shop press, .....

I need a bigger Air compressor to handle all the air tools I cant live without now.

It kinda slows you down when you get the itch to build the machine(S) to build your parts.

Then you gotta keep it all stocked so you dont run out of supplies on a Sunday...

Welder has been one of the best tool investments I have made, I purchased mine 4+ years ago and it has come in handy many times.

Your first project truned out a lot more attractive then mine, my first was a metal welding table with four legs, needless to say it rocks a bit but it's held up for 4 years now.

Have Fun

Nice looking rack, effective use of floor space, and great use of basic materials like the big washers.
Mine is just a rectangle of angle iron with casters and a piece of plywood.

Hold on a minute ? No gas ? A place to chain a tank on ?
I know ... it can always be added on.
What is that black plastic thing on the bottom in the front ?

Nice job, it's given me an idea now to create one to. I just picked up a mig welder last fall and still in the learning stage, but I am getting the hang of it slowly.

Lookin' good! I'm still using the free racks my Miller plasma cutter and mig welder came with - I like the stacked idea. I've got steel in the garage - I guess it's my turn to get cranking on a new cart Good motivation

The gas is next The black thing? Thats the cheap azz face shield Lincoln supplies you with when you buy the welder. I'm looking for a decent auto darkening one now. Suggestions?
