I AM HAVING A PROBLEM WITH SQUEAKY BREAKS. I PULLED OFF THE WHEELS AND THE PADS AND ROTORS ARE FINE. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT IS CAUSING THE SQUEAKS. I AM ABOUT TO CHANGE BOTH PADS AND ROTORS. I CAN TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!
Try putting on some softer pads......organic maybe. Won't stop quite as well but I doubt you'll ever know the difference unless you're racing it.
I had terrible squeek/squeal untill I replaced my pads and went with an organic set from Muskegon Brake. I can't tell any difference in stopping power. They may not last as long but that's not an issue for me.

Put some anti-squeal on the back of the brake pads, and spray some disc cleaner on the rotors. I was getting horrible squeal with my dad's truck when we replaced the pads; we had to pull the pads back off and apply the anti-squeal twice before it went away.
Part of the reason it squealed after we applied it the 1st time was that we didn't let the anti-squeal gunk set up like it says on the back of the bottle and tried to rush it.
On my DD, I got some squeal initially when I first changed the pads, and that was due to the pads having a "conditioning" layer on them that had to set on the discs themselves. Once I got them worn down past the conditioning layer, they didn't squeal anymore.
