Rear Gear Selection
I have an 81 which will have ZERO track time, and used mainly for weekend trips up to 2-3 hours. right now it has a 2.73 gear i believe (whatever stock was) and will be going to a 200R4 late this summer. what cruising gear i ssuggested for such an application.

I put a 700r4 in mine and have 3.36 rear gears. It will turn around 2100 RPMs at 70 MPH which is plenty low. I would recommend going with 3.55s or 3.70s with the overdrive for a little more acceleration.
