Need some help, door won't unlock or open?

Need some help, door won't unlock or open?
Noticed the last couple days, the drivers door would require shutting it 2-3 times pretty hard to get it to latch. Well last night it would not latch at all so I pulled it shut and locked it to drive it home, well now I can't get it to unlock therefore I can't open it
The lock **** starts to release, I can see it in the door mechanism but something in the latch is preventing it from unlocking. I have had a door handle problem before and the door would not stay latched. I had a machinist make a bracket and I reinstalled the spring for the door handle and the door has worked well since. I think the door handle assy. finally just crapped out, I was going to remove it this morning and order a new one but cant the the damn door open. The key won't unlock it either, it will partially turn but then stops
Anyone know how I can get the door unlocked open? I can see the rods and the mechanism with the window down but I think the problem is internal in the latch now.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Got it fixed today guys..never mind.. Door handle assy was sticking which was not letting the latch return to its closed position. Got er going now. Always something with these old turds. LOL

The door handle assy was sticking bad. I mean, when you would depress the handle, the button would pop back up but the lever that goes through the handle and pushes on the rod that releases the latch was sticking. Once I got the door open, I adjusted and lube the handle assy and reassembled. It has been fine since. The trick is getting the door open when the lock is locked and the latch won't open the door.

Thats one thing I like about our C3s, the linkages are all adjustable.
Mine was doing the same thing... big PIA
I pulled the latch assemblies out and washed them in Varsol, lubed them up and reinstalled them. Then I just adjusted all the linkages until all the play was gone and problem solved....could have been the 33 year old grease causing my problem
