Need advice for paint
Hi all. Well, it's coming close to being done with the mechanicals on my 79. I still need to go throught the suspension, but that's not a problem. Now it's time for paint sometime in the near future. My question is, what can I do to save money? Between 4 kids, going to school full time and a place to keep up, there's not much left. I know nothing about paint and wouldn't have the time or place to do it if I did. I want a good paint job and the current paint is crazed all the way through in places. I know I'll have to strip it. How much would I save if I taught myself how to do the prep and then took it to a good painter?
