Did you build those models? I've been a big model builder/collector since I was 7. I'm 26 now. Along the way, I got my brother hooked. We pretty much have models everywhere. It's a really fun hobby. It can also be the most aggravating and dissapointing hobby when it doesn't go right. When I was in 4-H I was building a 69 judge. If you ask my brother about "the flying GTO incident" he'll know what you're talking about. That was one of the times when the hobby was aggravating.
thats quite the collection there. i see a jaguar XKE in that mix, one of only 2 jags i would ever want to own. the other being the XJ220.
all ive got for models is a couple of diecasts. (viper, 67 AC cobra, VW bug, and something else...) my dad has a huge collection of models, but i beleive every one is, for the most part, brand new in the box. got everything ranging from the old Rat Finks, 53-54 corvettes, 69 corvette, aerovette, mustangs, trans ams, and much more that i dont remember off the top of my head.
I know, I know! but They're the only models I kept........at least they're on my Corvette
Hey, I've kept these dust covered, bad boys for 35 or 40 years....I don't know whatever happened to my Snake & Mongoose funny cars, Tarantula dragster, Red Baron, Monkee Mobile, 007 Aston Martin, etc, etc. Probably blew them all up with firecrackers when I was 12
heh damn, didnt think id see those guys again. i know my dad has the mummy, creature from the black lagoon, and i think wolf man. he said he once had the entire collection but the rest were either broke by his brothers and sisters, or grandma threw them out after he moved out.
I built some models a couple years ago - made a 75 convertible and 69 coupe out of a 69 convertible and 75 coupe. They helped me visualize colors. I also made a 68 firebird that I painted with the same paint as the real car I was restoring. It's a good way to spend winter evenings when you're married. LOL Joe
