New Motor In!!!!
The new 350/330 horse motor is in. Not running yet but in place and that was the goal for today. Thanks to Scott (forum member sperkins). Took a couple of hours with not much of a hassle. Motor mount bolts were a PITA but we overcame! I kept one picture of the old engine coming out for anyone who didn't see those. Had a good time and I look forward to getting everything else in order in the next week or two. Celebrated with a cold one!!! Photos are in my "homepage" section. Thanks to all the forum members who have provided advice. Scott is wearing the hat, I'm the nappy head yahoo!
Looking good, got your PM . Can't wait to hear what it is like when the rubber hits the road. I take that you purchased the deluxe set up , hope you don't have any clearance issues!! Brent

Brent, I just got the standard package. The deluxe was about a thousand dollars more. I bought a Summit balancer for around 50 bucks, a TCI flexplate, and I picked up a new Holley 600 off of Fleabay for $169 to the door. I still need to put on a new fuel and water pump, but should still come out ahead. The cool part is, with the engine purchase and the couple of other things I bought, I got $100 Summit bucks and the extra stuff I needed after I spent those only cost $50
OK guys let me tell ya. That car is sweeeeeeet!! I can't wait to feel that sucker pull once it's fired up. The paint and body on it is awesome. It's definately gonna be a head turner when it's back on the road. It's obvious somebody has taken good care of that thing over the years. Other than a few wiring issues, Bubba has never touched this car.
You picked a good one bud!
Oh yeah and the '69 Camaro aint to shabby either...This guy has had more Hot Rods over the years than Jay Leno!!
