Nice day for it...a local Corvette Club did layout for parking those 400 cars...this meant measuring, and placing little flags with entrants number/by class the night before, then directing cars during parking today.....(better than parking on asphalt)...also,the fire marshal required each car to carry a fire extinguisher....

Ever see a new Rolls with a fire extinguisher laying on the back seat ?

The fire dept never checked and drove a truck through at end of show...

California is absurd. Everytime I visit there, it's something new...you can't do this, you can't buy that, need a permit to fart, no guns in your car, etc.

Here in NM, anything goes, and we're just fine (well...except for the radium, but who cares if your pee glows in the dark?).

I like New Mexico...Dad was stationed at WSPG 1950-1954...I played little league baseball at night in a small stadium in Las Cruces.(base team)..wife and I were back there two years ago for the Quarter horse races in Ruiduso..also went to Hatch for the chili festival,White Sands,etc....Las Cruces sure has grown..

Grants laundry stop..

California is insane...

Nice bunch of cool cars and looks like a great place for a show.

One thing I do not get is why would you just crack the hood on a show car just to barely expose the motor. I don't get it, its like wearing baggy pants and showing your underwear-why?

If you look close at third pic (69 Green) you will see a sun shade on the chrome air cleaner...I use that in bright sun...others just "crack" their hoods till judges come by or spectators would like to see engine...some have experienced "burn" marks on underside of hoods from sun hitting the chrome air cleaner cover....cars often are sitting there 6-7 hours in the bright sun...
