DPI is just a way of specifying the output printout or display of the device. Pretty much anything posted and displayed on a forum will be listed as 72 dpi but you can adjust that to your desired output, but in this case the posted image is too smal (in pixels). If you want to achieve 200dpi at a 6 inch printout then your original scan image should be roughly 1200x500 pixels or larger. If I find a nice scan I will post a link to it.
Actually, I would like any of the early crossed flags to be used as a proposed club logo. The 69-73 emblem is one of the best looking ever done, I think, as is the fancy Corvette script like the 63-65.... but I'll take anything I can get. I have a great C5 3-D logo, but the earlier designs just shout Classic Corvette.
