It seems that no one that reads the forum on c3 has ever had a rear bearing assembly rebuilt. If any one that reads this has and knows of a good rebuilder (or bad)in southern calif PLEASE let me know.

???? we've discussed this job many, many times? As for Southern Ca I couldn't answer but I've rebuild arms from a couple of CA guys recently so may you're right? I just updated this post maybe it will help you. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1229686
From what I have heard through this forum - Gary (gtr1999) is a stand up guy. He has helped me with setting up my rear end and some issues that I had with my pinion angle.
I did not use Gary but sent mine off to Van Steel in Clearwater Fla. I sent them 2 hunks of crap and they sent back 2 beautiful, rebuilt assemblies. I could tell that they were mine due to some imperfections that I saw before I shipped them. In addition, they were back in my hand in a little over a week.
well I found a guy in costa mesa that has been repairing corvettes for 20 years or so I am going up to meet with him tomarrow.
my trailing arms and assemblies were very easy to remove after I removed all the spider webs and buildup from setting so long I hope thay go In as easy as thay came out this makes me think that the speedo is right. well if any one is reading this I will get back tomarrow
oh the corvette shop is ran by a guy names scott

Since Gary does it for a living also - he may offer something as well.
Check with the guy that you found and see how it compares.
I got a guy near me that has been doing vettes for over 20 years and I do not think twice about avoiding him even if he is 1/2 the cost. I have seen some of his work and I was not all that impressed plus it had no warranty.

Well I took the t arm assemblies in today and met with scott of the corvette shop in costa mesa I looked at a few cars and also some parts that his shop was rebuilding or restroing what ever, and his work looked good he took a lot of time to explain what and why he would be doing what he maybe doing to my parts, I am taking the half shafts in tomarrow I found the van steel web site and the cost for complete rebuild of my t arm assemblies with ss parking parts is 389 each I would think that this is with no major replacement parts? Mine look like very low milage should look I will get back when I have a FIRM PRICE
