I recently acquired my first Vette!!
I am really impressed by the Forum and look forward
to meeting many new friends. My C3 is a 1978 Black Beauty.
I traded it for a 2000 Dodge Intrepid- straight trade. Then proceeded
to put $1000 into it the first month but it runs great now with a new
top-end. I plan on restoring it after I finish another project, 55 Chevy. For now it's my daily driver
Soon enough you will realize that was the best trade deal you have ever made, that Chrysler will be tin cans ina few years and your new Corvette will stay with you forever.

Wow, did YOU get the better part of the deal! Congrats! At one point, I told myself that if I ever bought a C3, it'd HAVE to be a '73 or earlier, but I'm starting to appreciate the later years more and more every day. My '79 needs work (which it will get when I sell a couple other cars), but I still love it.

all of the above. Congrats and welcome aboard! Search first, learn what you can, then ask away...NO question too silly or simple.
