Thanks for the kind words guys!
I bought that hood back in the mid - late 80's. It was made by a company located in Maryville Tn. The gauges are mounted where the ash tray used to be. I used a dremel tool to mod the console plate where they would fit in. I have a friend who owns a machine shop and he cut the plate for the gauges out of aluminum and also machined the trim plate for the gas cap. He's a street rod fan so he likes to do stuff like this. I intended to mount the gauges under the hood but they wont fit without some cutting and fiberglass work. I may change to an L88 hood later. After I get the carpet installed and the interior cleaned up I'll take some better pics.
Is that one of the 430 ZZ430's made and where did you get the emblem?
I did a 430 clone and might be interested in an emblem if available.
TIA,
Rick
I'd also like to request 2 more pictures, one of the motor and one with the brush hog attached...lol
Thanks, mine is a clone too. Williams & Sons engraving in Utah made the emblems but I don't think they're in business anymore. I couldn't find much on them doing a search. You could probably find an engraving company to make them, they're pretty simple. BTW, I bet I have the fastest moving bush hog in America!
