Cooling Fan Removal
Has anyone here removed thier cooling fan and replaced it with an electric one? I have an 81 and was thinking about getting rid of the belt driven fan and putting in a larger electric one to clean up the engine compartment as well as less engine drag. Anyone tried this? how did it work, and what fan did you use?

NO.... why would you do that.... it wouldn't be original!
There are a lot of people running electric fans. I run one of the fans out of a Ford Windstar. It keeps my 10.5:1 383 running cool. I just couldn't fit both of them behind my rad. There are many people running Spal or Flex-a-lite fans, I'm sure some of them will chime in.
