I was putting some Fat-Mat in this past week-end...(remind me to never do that again)....while doing the rear compartment I looked up and found the crayon date on the rear deck!. Needless to say, I left it there. I hope all the work putting down the Fat-Mat and jute insulation will pay off. The 50 series Flowmasters are getting on my last working nerve.
I did the fat mat also but I still have open headers. I was going to go with 50 series flowmasters on a few forum members recomendation, what is the problem with them? I have a big block in mine

Can't hear the radio....I like my rock-n-roll a little more than the nice sound of the flowmasters! i
Big G...if the fatmax is anyway near the dynamat...your gonna love it!!! Kook and quiet here...just gotta get the carb dialed in... Needless to say: give us a report on the fatmax as I have another project in mind and would use the fatmax if the results are good!! Thanks Muddy
Man, that's a clean install! I KNOW how tough that is. I did the same with Dynamat Xtreme (same stuff as fatmat). My fingers, knees, and back hurt something fierce for the couple days afterward.

What did you use to roll it down?
Used a broken roller wheel, (was good before I abused it too much), my hands and the round end of a box-cutter. I learned that the surface needs to be completely free of oil, or it will not stick at all. Used about 30 square feet out of a 50 square foot roll. I pulled all the dash and gauges to get in as much as possible, and will be covering a good part of the Fat-Mat with jute. Then a h-pipe on the exhaust and I'm done!
