That bites. There was a wreck up here with a borrowed C4 driven by a 16 year old and his girlfriend going over 100 mph to prom. He lost control and killed himself, his passenger, and another 16 year old who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Todays article said driver was Terry Noll from Jacksonville, Florida and passenger was driver's brother, Philip Noll from Rosamond, CA...next town north of Lancaster. Both were in their early 60's. Don't know if either was a CF member or not.
Article went on to say that the 'Vette was traveling at a 'high' rate of speed at about 9:00PM and the P/U driver saw the car in the distance, and thought it was safe to cross the intersection. He turned in front of the 'Vette and the 'Vette hit the P/Us left rear corner, and both vehicles caught fire. Article said the two 'Vette occupants were badly burned and will probably require dental records for 'formal' identification. The P/U driver escaped with minor injuries.
Investigators are trying to determine how fast the 'Vette was traveling, and whether the crash was the fault of its driver or the P/Us driver who pulled away from the stop sign. I've driven that road often, and it is a flat area for miles, two lane road with posted 55 MPH speed limit...probably hard to judge a car at 'high' rate of speed..."
Got above off So Calif forum...
I agree - the street is not for high speeds. I have 2 drag strips within 50 miles. 1 is a 1/8 mile but the other is a top notch 1/4. keep the racin on the track.
