Dayamn, The wife and I took the Vette out over the mountain for fajita's. Cruising home @70mph in the left lane just after dark, with a volvo of some sort on my right flank. I see a flash of a deer, first standing and staring and then exiting my lane into the median strip. My brain then moved to my right eye, and sure enough here comes another one just kinda walking and looking up at us. $h!te! Started to veer to right but the volvo was there, so down went a gear on on the brakes....she stood one her nose!!! Wew....the deer strolled out of the way with us stopped dead, and the idiot in the volvo just kept trucking..the wife was white as a ghost...but she was cool..
I had redone the front brakes earlier this spring with all new parts. I found out tonight they work real good!
if they are that freaking stupid, why is it a "sport" to hunt them? Just park your car in the woods with the engine on and the brights on and wait....BANG! got me another one!
all kidding aside, glad to see you kept your head and was able to avoid an accident. Good driving!
You are a lucky man, glad you are ok.
I have repaired a few Kenworths that have hit deer and they can can do some serious damage even to one of those big rigs,,bumpers, rads, front nose...I can only imagine what would happen to a Vette
one of the advantages to liveing out in the woods aways is you get plenty of practice at spotting deer long before their there.
if i was allowed to, i could go hunting from my kitchen window. got deer that come by the front yard every couple of days. also get turkeys in the back yard a couple of times a year.
