My freind i work with is always making fun of my "slow corvette".
his v6 mustang runs 13's.
so i just figued floored it when we were leaving work, and i got pulled over for 70 in a 45.
3 points and a $280 ticket

Be glad it wasn't in a school zone...
I know here in Cali the fines are something like triple what the normal fine for speeding would be.
I got 1 speeding ticket on the way back from Phoenix 3 years ago...I was driving back by Palm Springs, and punched my Saturn up to just over 100 mph, and then slowed down after I got out of the pack.
Unfortunately, the cop who saw me didn't like the fact that I was slowing down from that speed.
He tried to tell me that I was doing 85 when he saw me by saying, "I was doing 85 mph to catch up to you."
"Well, officer, if you were doing 85 mph to catch up to me, then I was going SLOWER than that, wouldn't you agree? Otherwise, you never would have caught up to me if we were going the same speed."
He wrote the ticket for 80 mph in a 70 mph zone. $250 for the ticket...

mine was a girl and i tryed to flirt with her to get out of a ticket an i dont think she liked that. so she brought up the fact that its raining and she could get me on reckless driving...

Back in 1975, I got a ticket for doing 105 in a 55. Cost me $20 court costs plust $2 per mile over the speed limit. (Total = $120). That was a lot of money in 75. Havent done anything that stupid since then.

Nice sign! I got a disorderly conduct a month or so ago, for doing some wicked donuts... in a state park, lol. (peer pressure is a bitch, especially when it comes from lots of pretty girls!

In 1970,I was doing 95 in a 65...the CHP told me byCalifornia law,he should arrest me but he reduced it to 90,and let me go with a ticket....when I went to court,the judge sentenced me to two days in jail and had me post $25 bail...(I was to go to jail the next day)...called a lawyer,and he set up an appearance to change my plea...the same judge asked me why I changed my mind.."Well,I didn't understand my rights"....
I did not go to jail and forfeited the $25 bail in a deal my lawyer made with the DA...which reduced the ticket to 70 mph...the lawyer cost me $150...

funniest ticket I ever got was for "Exihibition of Acceleration" in a 68 Chevy II. Pulled out and it barked'em going into 2nd gear (shift kit) and the cop did not see the humor in it....

I was in an '88 Saleen mustang and the road had some ruts in it and the wheels would catch in the ruts. Cop said that there was a black mustang that was going at a high rate of speed on the interstate a few minutes before, I said oh really, we were just leaving a buddies house and headding home. A few minutes before we left my buddies house we were on the interstate

If you put 8,000 into your engine you would be a lot faster than him.
Even if your 'vette is slow it's still many times cooler than a 6 cyl. mustang.

When I get speeding tickets here in NY, I always plead not guilty and then go to court and plead guilty to an 1110A - failure to follow a traffic device(the speed limit sign). Works everytime and the fine is like $75. I don't care about the money, it's the insurance cost I don't want.
