Outside Mirror Glass Date codes
Anyone have the decode information for chrome outside mirrors on C3's. I have two outside (drivers) mirrors. One is coded E-AX-71, and the other is coded L-AX-71. Any help appreciated.

The E-AX-71 would be,May -manufactured by Ajax mirror-1971
the L-AX-71 would be Nov. -manufactured by Ajax mirror-1971. The
second one would be correct if the" I "was not used in determining
the month and it rarely was because it could be confused with the
number 1.

I suppose that the May one is correct for my car, it had a mid June build date. Not sure where I got the other. Probably came off of a wrecked 74 I parted out. I hardly ever slow down in Fairfield. 45 is pretty wide open from Madisonville to Ennis, though Buffalo and Fairfield do have somewhat of a reputation as speed traps.
