LS4......454ci 270hp Engine......3,494 It doesn't differentiate between 4sp or auto.
Ironic that they list the total number of 4spd produced at 3,494 also.
Keep in mind that the 3,494 4-speed statistic is for the optional close-ratio 4-speed, and that the base car had a wide-ratio 4-speed. So, the real number of 1974 Corvettes with 4-speeds is calculated by subtracting the automatics from the total cars. I calculate 12,356 4-speeds, and without looking at an individual car's transmission or examining original paperwork, there's probably not a credible way to determine whether a given car's 4-speed is wide or close ratio.
As for the original question - determining the number of a given combination of available options is not possible with the information available to us. We could collect available information (and I have been over the years) as a survey to determine what's survived and draw a conclusion based on those numbers. That's at home and I'm not, so I'll try to remember to check my numbers tonight.
Well, I've been collecting VIN numbers and car options for the 1974 Corvette for the last several years. Kinda' like a non-public VIN registry. I've been pondering creating a website to collect this stuff, but haven't gotten around to it.
