I'm sorry I missed your call yesterday. Things are progressing slow on the new plates....we are still trying to get our supplier to finish up the prototypes so we can send them off to GM. It is a pretty small operation doing these custom plates and the guy who runs it has a regular day job. Needless to say some things move slow and his wife is about to have a baby. So his time has been a little hectic the last couple of months. I'll check back in with him and see how he is doing with some samples for me and let you know.
Sincerely,
My son just tonight got into the car and said this plate is wrong. I said I will have to remove or replace it with something. Problem is every time I change something I'll have to get a new plate.
Hey guys, there is an easier way to do this. Volvette sells blank data plates, which I then took to my local trophy/screen printing place, and had mine custom screened. What do you think:
good idea. and takes a hell of a lot less time than we have been talking about this..did you peel the origional off before sticking the new one on??or just go right over the origional with the new one??? also i seen the one for my 73 part #em-52 but its not blank do you have to specify blank?another thing is i think ill split the cubic inch box in half so i can put ----383 c.i/431 h.p--in that box

I removed the old one, and stuck the new one in it's place. Screen printing isn't cheap due the the set up involved. Here in Canada, the cheapest I was able to get it done for was $60, but they did an excellent job. Considering the amunt of money I have spent on the car, thats not much!
The blank plates are part # EM58 @ $18 ea at Volvette, they are not on the their website, you have to phone it in.
