Home made brake bleeder
I built this thing in a hour and it worked great. I spent $14 dollars at the local hardware store. I already had the vacuum pump but for those that don't you can get the air powered ones preaty cheap form HF. I used it all day and only pulled a vacuum on it once. I bought one brass 1/4" nipple, one brass needle valve, one brass 1/4" pipe to 1/4" hose barb and 3' of 1/16" clear tubbing. Works like a dream, but one thing I did learn is don't open the bleeder on the caliper more than a half of a round or it will pull air into the line around the threads and apear to never get clear of air. Once I am through bleeding all four calipers I than preasured the tank up with compressed air and blew the brake fluid out of the tank. Here some pics:

I have one of those tanks sitting here and probably have the fittings too. And as my usually good C3 brakes are now acting up, sounds like it may be time to whip one together.
