hi, something very unsual have happened to me, i've lost the cap covering the oil small tank of the steering pump, the cap is the half screw type, i've already bought one in usa and will probably arrive next week BUT next saturday i'll drive my C3 as 'car 0' (it's the car that opens a hill climbing race here in europe) and i need to take care of this problem replacing the cap with something else. i couldnt find a proper cap to replace and i need to work this problem out at least temporarily to allow me to race this climbing next saturday. the tank is not presurized but need something which will not fall in the middle of the run making an oil mess around the engine and more important the belt and the pulley!! any ideas please? thanks a lot/Giu

Are there no other General Motors cars nearby that you could "borrow" one from, I realize that you are overseas but there has to be a car around that you could honestly borrow one from. Peace,,,Moosie
Find a U.S. military base, and some U.S. soldiers, and bring pics of the Vette they'll enjoy that. They may be able to requisition one off a Humvee or one of the GMC 4x4 pickup trucks that the U.S. military still has around.
